Human intro: Lindsay (and Jesse)
Dog's name: Sally
Age: 3 years old (born Jan 2017)
Breed / size: Lab/pit/beagle, 40 lbs, short legs
What brings you here? Mostly looking for play buddies, but open to training too
General location? SE Portland
Availability? Evenings or weekends are best if outside of SE, but more flexible if nearby or on Fridays
What's your dog's social experience? We adopted her in March 2019 when she was 2, and don't know much about her life before us. But she is very social with dogs, though some dogs find her too enthusiastic.
What's your dog's "play style"? She loves to be chased and to chase. She likes to run fast and leave everyone in the dust. She's totally game to wrestle (usually with younger dogs). One of her favorite moves is to bulldoze taller dogs and burrow under them.
What kind of dogs does your dog tend to like? She doesn't really have a type, but she seems to play really well with dogs in the 8-12 month range. They seem to be a good match in energy and playfulness. But she tends to want to play with everyone.
What kind of dogs does your dog not tend to like? There doesn't seem to be a genre she doesn't like.
How often does your dog play with other dogs? At least weekly, usually more.
Does your dog have any history of aggression? She's shy with men and has twice snapped when men have lunged at her to pet her head. She didn't bite either of them, but we have gotten better at warning people and preventing that from happening.
What kind of management or training do you want to do during play? Practice attention/recalling away from other dogs
Do you have a yard, or are you hoping to meet with someone who has a yard? We have a yard, but are willing to visit other yards.
Anything else? I'd even be interested in just walking someone else's dog with Sally. She currently walks with her best friend once a week, and just *really* loves the company.
Sally had her first indoor play date today with her best friend Osa. She's the black one and is in heaven.
I think that could work! I can't figure out how to message you, but my email is writelindsay@gmail.com.

Our Beagle puppy could be a good fit! He’s 7 mos old and full of energy. He’s used to playing with older dogs who are well trained so the play doesn’t get out of hand. Do you think they would be good together?
Thank you for being a brave first poster!
Sally has done a couple of private lessons with me, and now she is a tricks class regular. I'm sure she'll be a great match for a lot of other dogs, once the forum activity picks up. :-)
