*Edit: I did not write out descriptions like the actual homework assignment says to. Sowwy
I need to decide on some new cues for Cupid, so I'm going to list them all out. :-) Things that need to be decided will be bolded. Feel free to comment with recommendations OR questions!
I will likely edit this as a I remember things.
Food Markers
Ch - general food marker
Keep - feed in place/don't move/I bring the food to you
Bam - come get food from my hand
Toss - thrown food
Jump - jump up to eat out of my hand
Scatter - scatter of at least 3 treats to sniff out
Bon - we are switching from toys to food (puppy cue)
Toy Markers
Where's your toy? - general recommendation to pick up a toy he just had
Tug - indicator that tugging will happen when he brings the toy to me but I haven't been great about this
~Flashy fingers~ - bring me the toy (I'm just going to have this in this category idk)
Pick up - formal pick up toy off ground as a reward
Strike - strike the toy
Fetch - I'm throwing the toy
Air - I'm throwing the toy at your face/to catch midair
___________ - tossing toy up and to the left for heeling (pop? swing?)
___________ - spiking toy to the ground (to bounce maybe) (It can't be "spike" because that sounds like "strike")
___________ - DECOY TIMEEEE
Release Cues
Break - release from crate and other thresholds mostly
Ok - accidentally he also knows this as a release from door because that's Mars release cue and he doesn't want to leave without her going first. I think I also say it sometimes to indicate something in training (like try again) but I'm blanking on when exactly that happens
Go play - release from a skill/attention into the environment (playing, sniffing)
Skill Cues
Switch - drop it
Turn - go around cone clockwise
Fly - go around cone counterclockwise (new)
________________ - continuous leave weaves
________________ - figure 8 (stationary leg weaves basically)
________________ - single leg weave (toss treat or toy out)
Twist - spin CC
Shout - spin clockwise
Perch - front foot target
Back - back up/back up onto target
Chin - chin rest
Touch - duration nose touch to hand
Take it - grab pvc pipe with mouth
Bounce - jump up (no feet on me)
Fold - foldback down
Middle - get into middle position (via behind and to my right)
Tuck - sit (he barely knows this since I'm working on his tuck sit so much still)
Stand - stand from sit or down
Heel - set up into heel position (left finish?) (throwaway cue????)
Pivot - pivot rear to the right in heel
_______ - wrap finish
Lift - lift the head
I may end up switching his competition cues to German (positions, heel cues etc.)
Abwah (this is French and I actually have no clue how to spell it) - Bark at me
Guard - Bark at someone else
Up - Jump up on the klimb
Off - Stop jumping
Place - Place bed
Weave - Leg weaves or figure 8
Go thru - single leg weave to the right
__________ - Go out (for igp)
Out - drop out - drop it w decoy or from tug specifically? (in the future after i phase out 'switch')
Front - front
Over - future jump over object
Future decoy strike cue: Attack ?
dead dog - lie on side
ugly - rockback sit
NEW POSITION CUES (IN PROGRESS)
"fold" remains for household cues. I should teach a "settle" (hip flip)
keep "stand" for kickout and pop up stand ?
(competition/high arousal association)
drop - down
pose - stand
seat or tush - sit
