Verbal:
Sit - puts his bottom on the ground
Lay Down - goes into a relax
dOWn! - goes into a sphinx down
Stay- stays in his position until released
Touch- touches his nose to my hand
Leave It- stops what he is doing and looks at me
Come- walks or runs to me
Here- walks or runs to me
Puppy Guy- walks or runs to me
Limp- picks up his right paw at waist height
High Five- hits his left paw to my hand at shoulder height
Who's Hungry- picks up his right paw at shoulder height
Say Hi- picks up his left paw at shoulder height
Up- jumps up and puts paws on platform (if available)
Relax- lays his chin on the ground or a pillow (if present)
Conner- thinks my spouse is somewhere nearby
Where's daddy (LOL) - thinks my spouse is somewhere nearby
Get Josie - us telling him to mouth josie
Get It - Chase after this treat i'm throwing
Take It - put this thing in your mouth and walk away with it or pull at it
Yes- i'm going to give you a treat to your mouth
Yip- i'm going to give you a treat to your mouth
Good- nice job and here's a treat
Okay- you are released from waiting or your current position
Release- you can get up out of your stay position
Go Out! - run forward while i throw this ball to you
Middle- go between my legs from behind
Gestures/Hand Signals
Right or Left Hand point fingers up- sit his bottom on ground
Right hand (flat fingers) moving towards the ground at waist level - lay down
Right hand sweeping motion around my right hip - walk around me to my left side
Right hand sweeping motion plus spread my legs - walk around me to middle position
Right hand circular motion above his head - spin to your left
Left hand circular motion about his head- twirl to your right
Right hand flat stationary next to my right hip - stand
left hand flat stationary next to my left hip - stand
stop sign hand - stay
I have thought a little bit about differentiating them. I’ve thought about kind of doing this:
yes- I’ll come to you and feed to your mouth
yip- come to my right hand for your reward to your mouth
good- insure for that moment, maybe a keep going signal?
