Fiona Training Plan + Markers
Fiona is very very sensitive and frustrates easily and I'm working on building up excitement and enthusiasm with her. So, I'm moving slowly with her. Currently, I'm doing a small amount with her (five min or so) right before breakfast. I also work with her for ten or so min after dinner. Any more than that and she gets frazzled. (Total opposite of her brother, who would be happy to train for an hour.)
Markers:
Food delivered to face: Yes/Click and also (accidentally) Boom! (inadvertently added this when I taught her high five, she gets super pumped about this marker, ha!)
Go get it: Get It!
Search for Food: Scatter
Release: Okay!
In general, what are signs from your dog that they are overly stressed?
She checks out/walks away. (it's super obvious)
What are signs from your dog during training that your dog is confused, frustrated, worried, etc.?
Dramatic sneezing!
Mally Training Plan + Markers
Mally loves training and will go forever if he can. We do a bit in the morning before breakfast for fun (whatever we happen to be working on). I do a longer session with him in the evenings after dinner (often 30+ min, but that includes some disc stuff). Sometimes we'll take a break in the afternoon and play around with training in my office too. (Ugh, guess this isn't really a plan and more of just a routine.)
