Here are all the words and signals that I think Oona knows... I tried to be descriptive with my hand signals but some things were just too weird to explain! I think this is everything?
Sit (raised fist) — sit
Down (flat hand, palm down, in a hand flap down ????) — lie down
Up (flat hand, palm up, hand flap up) — jump up from down to standing on all 4s
Sit pretty (raised fist that sweeps up so palm of fist is facing up) — sit pretty/beg
Wait (flat hand, palm facing her) — don't move/wait
Free (sometimes I do a little sweeping pointy finger move) — release/go
Bed (no signal maybe a point) — lie on your bed
Perch (point to where I want to perch) — front foot target
Go through (little knee bob action) — go through my legs in circle 8s
Boop — touch a target with her nose, like my hand or a dish
Weave (exaggerated walking) — weave through my legs
Pivot (shuffling around the dish target) — pivot heel as I move in 1/4 turns
Back — back foot targeting to move backwards Spin (clockwise hand circle) — spin
Twist (counterclockwise hand circle) — spin the other way
Leave it — let go of a toy/drop something
Get it — go get a treat
Cookie — come get a cookie
---
nonverbal cues or unnamed cues
Waiting at crosswalks on leash walks — when I stop she stops to my right and makes eye contact with a release word (ok) to go
Middle heel — swoop my leg and she gets right in there walking between my legs, staying still, forward and back
Heel — between a fence/wall
Circling around me — clockwise into heel, with a little hand swoop
Sit/lie down on leash walks — leash pressure
Yay! I love "hand flap." 😂
You got so deep in that you forgot "yes"!
Hopefully this felt like a valuable exercise. As you can see in Cupid's cue thread, it's something that I have to regularly go back to as well!
