She's nice and close, and her rear is, like, magically straight even without you backing up at all!
One rep (in the standing video) you stepped towards her instead of having her move closer to you, but then you fixed that after that rep.
She has a natural tuck-sit which makes sitting close to you easier. She looks comfortable being that close, too, which is great.
Keep up practicing this. What I'll be looking for as the next step is that she skips the gradual scooting and goes straight to coming in close.
The way she's coming in before she scoots is actually a perfectly fine front position in itself. But I like to have my dogs come in really close, so that I know that they really, really mean it.
I wouldn't wait her out yet, as it's likely she'll get frustrated and lie down etc. If you do exactly what you're doing, I bet it will happen organically. She should go, "Let's just skip to the part where I get fed."
Awww, great job!
