I left the sit vs stand part ambiguous - maybe too ambiguous! Some dogs have a really hard time standing still, in which case just having them sit makes sense. Oona is not that dog, though.
Practicing sits won’t hurt, but I wouldn’t push for them being automatic yet (that’s covered later in the curriculum), and I would recommend doing this exercise mostly with standing. That’s because we want them to be able to adjust into perfect position, and they have a harder time doing that once they‘re sitting.
