FAQ

How long has Venus and Mars K9 been running the Training Club Membership?

Since February 2025, and we still have members that have been with us since the beginning!

Don't you guys run out of training exercises to practice?

No! Cori is very creative.

Does my dog have to like other dogs to join?

No -- in fact, most of the dogs in the club don't love meeting other dogs. They come to class to practice being calm and neutral around dogs.

How do I know if this is a good fit for me and my dog?

The membership is only open to current training clients because we want to ensure it is a good fit.

Contact us to discuss your dog.

Is the Training Club Membership a good way for me to make human friends?

If you want it to be, YES!

Testimonials

Sean & Jio Jio

"Cori is a truly excellent dog trainer that we've been fortunate enough to bring our little creature to experience. They lead wonderful group classes in parks all over the city in Teamwork on the Town, plus a variety of other focuses like dog sports and fitness down at their Bridgeport site. Cori has also helped us in private lessons learning some clever ways to train tricks and behavioral improvements.

I cannot recommend them highly enough if you're looking to learn how to better understand your pup and help them to understand you, plus having lots of fun along the way!"

"Cori is one of my dog's favorite people. We have done several classes with them, as well as a handful of private lessons. The class content has been well thought out with appropriate homework, and the private lessons have given me information specific to my dog (a 9 month old, extremely high energy mutt) that I wouldn't have ever come to on my own. Cori's style is really effective at teaching me how to manage and better communicate with my dog, which is really the point all along. I highly recommend them as a trainer if you're in the Chicago area!

Update: June 2026 - we are still working with Cori and I am so pleased to report that my dog is much more enjoyable to live with now being 2.5 years old, and much more fun to do stuff with, including Cori's group classes. The group classes are so fun - active, with progression of skills over time, and the human attendees are also great. We always have a good time and work her body and brain."

"Cori is such a creative instructor. She is always prepared for our classes with some unique and valuable exercises. My dogs are challenged but just to the right degree. The three of us always look forward to Monday’s classes… Doggie Dance and then heeling class. I have learned a bunch from her."

Kate & Meadow

"Cori has completely changed my relationship with my dog for the better! My almost 6 year old pit bull and I have been throughly enjoying their group classes for a few years now. My dog has worked through her fear and anxiety to become a much more confident and trusting dog. Not only that, but we've learned all sorts of fun tricks, sporting activities, and general agility movements to bring in to our every day routine :)

My dog can now relax in a group setting with other dogs very close by, which was impossible before Cori's classes. As a bonus to all the positives Cori's classes have provided for my dog, I've also found their classes to be an amazing outlet for support as a dog owner and appreciate the encouragement, patience, and knowledge they provide for me as well.

Could not recommend Cori enough!"

Mary & Obi

"I have learned so much from Cori since we started working together to help my excitable dog, Obi. Cori has taught me how to better manage many types of distractions on walks, how to incorporate fun games to get Obi's endless energy out, and so much more. One of my favorite things about Cori is that they are great at pointing out when my instruction to Obi can be improved but they also call out when things are going really well! They are a wealth of knowledge and deliver instruction in a straight forward and easy to understand manner. They are kind, approachable and have made training something that Obi and I always look forward to attending. Cori truly cares about their clients and I can't recommend them enough!"
